OTK manages the processing and remains your contact throughout. Capabilities depend on the grade, thickness, width and condition; we confirm feasible sizes, tolerances, minimum quantity and delivery in our quotation.

Strip edges
Strip comes with a slit edge unless you ask for another. For a deburred or rounded edge, give the burr limit or the edge profile in your enquiry and we confirm it for your size.

Packing and delivery

Send your specification
Grade and finish, thickness and the strip widths with the tolerances, the coil build (inner diameter, outside diameter or coil weight), the quantity and the delivery place.
Receive our quotation
Price, availability and delivery date, with the certificate type and the origin stated for each lot. EN 10204 3.1 certificates; 3.2 inspection on request, agreed before we quote.
Order and delivery
We confirm your order in writing. Single coils or regular call-offs; minimum quantities depend on grade and size and are stated in the quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Can you slit our own coils?
Yes. Send us the coil data (grade, thickness, width, weight and inner diameter) and the strip widths you need. Slitting, packing and transport are quoted as one job.
What is the minimum for a slitting job?
One coil. Narrow precision strip can be run from a few hundred kilograms; wide coils are processed whole, and a mixed list of widths on one coil is the normal case.
Which inner diameters can you deliver?
Slit coils on 300, 400, 508 or 610 mm inner diameter depending on the line, outside diameters up to 2,000 mm. Tell us your decoiler limits and the maximum coil weight you can handle.
How long does slitting take?
Slitting typically takes one to three weeks at the line once the material is there; transport comes on top. We confirm the date in our quotation.
What edge will the strip have?
A slit edge, unless you ask for another. Deburred or rounded edges are available on request: tell us the burr limit or the edge profile you need and we confirm it for your size.
