Slit stainless steel strip coils strapped on pallets

Stainless Spring Strip 1.4310 (301)

Cold-rolled spring strip in the EN 10151 tensile strength classes C850 to C1900, or rolled to your own tensile range. For flat springs, clips, spring washers and safety parts. Temper, tolerance, edge and certificate values are confirmed in our quotation.

Spring strip to your specification

Tell us what the strip becomes and how your line feeds it. We suggest the tensile class, tolerance class, edge and coil build that fit, and confirm them in our quotation.

What we supply

  • Tensile strength classes C850 to C1900 to EN 10151
  • Your own tensile range on request, for example 1,150–1,300 MPa, or annealed strip
  • Thickness and width tolerances to EN ISO 9445-1, normal or precision class
  • Slit edge; deburred or rounded edges on request
  • Coil build to suit your line: inner diameter, outside diameter or coil weight
  • EN 10204 3.1 certificates with the mechanical properties of the agreed temper; 3.2 inspection on request

Tensile strength classes to EN 10151

Cold-rolled spring strip is specified by tensile strength class. How high the class can go depends on the thickness; the class and the certificate values are confirmed in our quotation. Annealed strip or your own tensile range on request.

  • C850850–1,000 MPa
  • C10001,000–1,150 MPa
  • C11501,150–1,300 MPa
  • C13001,300–1,500 MPa
  • C15001,500–1,700 MPa
  • C17001,700–1,900 MPa
  • C19001,900–2,200 MPa

Strip edges

Strip comes with a slit edge unless you ask for another. For a deburred or rounded edge, give the burr limit or the edge profile in your enquiry and we confirm it for your size.

  • Slit edgeDefaultThe edge as cut by the slitter, with a small burr on one side.
  • Deburred edgeOn requestBurr removed and the corners slightly broken.
  • Rounded edgeOn requestA full radius across the thickness, for strip that is handled by hand or must not cut.

From enquiry to delivery

Strip, slit coils and banding can go on one quotation, with the certificates your parts need.

  1. Send your specification

Grade and temper or tensile strength, thickness and width with the tolerance class, the edge, the coil build (inner diameter, outside diameter or coil weight), the quantity and the delivery place.

  2. Receive our quotation

Price, availability and delivery date, with the certificate type and the origin stated for each lot. EN 10204 3.1 certificates; 3.2 inspection on request, agreed before we quote.

  3. Order and delivery

We confirm your order in writing. Single coils or regular call-offs; minimum quantities depend on grade and size and are stated in the quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Which tempers are there for 1.4310 spring strip?

The EN 10151 tensile strength classes from C850 (850–1,000 MPa) to C1900 (1,900–2,200 MPa). The highest class depends on the thickness. Strip can also be rolled to your own tensile range or supplied annealed.

What is the difference between normal and precision tolerance?

EN ISO 9445-1 gives two tolerance classes for narrow strip. For 0.30 mm strip below 125 mm wide, the thickness tolerance is ±0.020 mm in the normal class and ±0.010 mm in the precision class. State the class you need in your enquiry.

What edge will the strip have?

A slit edge, unless you ask for another. Deburred or rounded edges are available on request: tell us the burr limit or the edge profile you need and we confirm it for your size.

Which certificates come with the strip?

EN 10204 3.1 certificates with the chemical analysis and the mechanical properties of the agreed temper. Inspection certificates 3.2 on request, agreed before we quote. The certificate type and the origin are stated for each lot in our quotation.
